PACE
circuit training is an excellent way to simultaneously improve mobility,
strength and stamina. The circuit training format utilizes a group
of low impact exercises that are completed one exercise after another.
Each exercise is performed for a specified number of repetitions
or for a prescribed time period before moving on to the next exercise.
The exercises within each circuit are separated by brief, timed
rest intervals, and each circuit is separated by a longer rest period.
The total number of circuits performed during a training session
may vary depending on your training level (beginner, intermediate,
or advanced), your period of training (preparation or competition)
and your training objective.
Do
you avoid health clubs because you are INTIMIDATED?
Many people are intimidated by exercise programs because they
are overweight, deconditioned, or a senior citizen. If
you fit into this group, then PACE circuit training is a perfect
program for you. Using hydraulic resistance equipment, there
is no skill involved, there are no weight stacks, no sore muscles
and anyone can do it- and get results quickly! Hydraulic resistance
is the only resistance that instantly accommodates to the effort
of the user; the harder, faster one pushes, the more the resistance.

Less & Obtain Better Results
If You're Trying To Lose Weight
The average person who signs up for a diet program will spend an
average of $1,500.00 per year. This is based on the fact that they
will probably go back to the diet center at least twice in a years
time. Let's face it- you will lose weight on any short term diet
temporarily (of course, part of the weight you lose will be water
and muscle tissue).
The
American College of Sports Medicine and the American Medical Association
have recognized the importance of strength training in permanent
weight control. The problem is that most fitness programs in most
fitness facilities are designed for the already fit market and tend
to intimidate the overweight market. Not PACE cicuit training! PACE
is non-intimidating, very user-friendly and very, very cost effective!

PACE is great for Senior Citizens
Ask a Fitness Director at a health club or YMCA about their
senior fitness program. If they have a pool, they are bound to recommend
"Aquatics". After all, water aerobics is considered a
very safe workout with very little stress to the joints. The basic
premise is the faster one moves their limbs through the water, the
greater the resistance.
Such
is the case with our PACE circuit training program. The harder/
faster one moves the hydraulic resistance produced using our equipment,
increases.
Like
Aquatics, PACE circuit training is much more fun in a class format
with an instructor to watch your form and to inspire you. Seniors
love PACE circuit training!
A large part of that is due to the fact that no swimsuits are needed;
PACE circuit training can be done in regular workout clothes (some
people, especially the over-weight are intimidated by getting in
swimsuits).
Senior
women will enjoy the group camaraderie at A Woman's Pace, as much
as the fitness benefits! We have seen classes when members will call
other members to find out why they did not show up for a class!
